So what is a Baldapalooza, you ask?
Baldapalooza is a performing arts festival/event to celebrate the life of Ken Godmere, an Ottawa local, who has been stricken with a one-in-a-million disease called Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD).
Baldapalooza:
- Event #1: (SOLD OUT) Sunday, June 20th at Yuk Yuk's - 88 Albert Street (Ottawa); special limited-seating Father's Day dinner at 6 p.m sharp but the doors open at 5:00; pre-show show starts at 7:30. Free parking at the World Exchange Plaza (a half-block northwest of Yuk Yuk's)
- Event #2: Wednesday, June 23rd at Zaphod Beeblebrox - 27 York Street in the Market (Ottawa); starts a t 5:00 and the doors open at 4:00 p.m.

In case you didn't know, Ken shaved his head back in the nineties because he had become obsessed with styling his hair in the morning, every morning, so one day he just said "screw it". He shaved his head and has thus far saved an estimated $675 Canadian on shampoo and gel.
