Part Six: Recommendations

ACME should develop a thorough communication strategy and plan; one that covers all of your marketing-communications activities

Because of the nature of ACME’s business, there is an opportunity to raise the profile of certain partners in terms of being regarded as industry experts; consider developing a partner profile strategy to get them known in the community, as reporter-resources, and speakers at trade-associations. This approach will enable ACME to develop a media relations strategy and this should be a part of a communication plan.

There is an opportunity for ACME to create a Press Room on their site – which would also include your Upcoming Events, and a What’s New section and Industry News of relevance to your client-base; however, the groundwork needs to be put in place first (groundwork is the ‘reason’ for having a press room)

  • Implement a process to capture client feedback (we can use quotes and full references from these – where applicable)
  • Develop ‘Partner Ideas, Philosophies and Beliefs’: the partners are experts and have a lot of knowledge and experience – and this should be captured and made available in a variety of ways (this could address the site’s need for true value-added content)
  • Develop ACME conventions for use in all material: i.e., when to use upper vs. lower case, British vs. American spelling, specific colours, fonts, non-underlined links (i.e. coloured links), etc.
  • Build/develop new website information/content on a regular basis (make that part of ACME’s internal culture) structure
